Grue, if you think the FL2 battery clamp is a pain, try a VW Amarok one. Couldn't get to it witout loosening off the ECU mounting bracket bolts & two of those are almost as hard to get at as the battery clamp one! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Try taking a battery out of a Corsa C. You have to release the plastic trim that goes the width of the car below the windscreen. Did it on FiL's car - what a PITA Jules |

I replaced the battery on our FL2 a couple of weeks ago and found it very straight forward, what are the problems with the battery clamp? 94 Disco 300 TDI Gone

The original battery (also varta same model) lasted 8 years. This one is just over 2 years and doesn’t seem to be holding the charge (charging on the car with CTEK charger) the retailer Tayna have suggested I send it back to them to get it bench tested. |

I just replaced mine last week, it was still on the original one from 2011 and only really became a problem after leaving the car unused for a few days.
