There are those amongst us who put us all in the shadows and one of the few goes by the name of Tom Moore. I hope that if or when Tom has need of assistance in his life folk will be very quick to respond.

That man is the benchmark by which all those whinging on about the lockdown and its inconveniences should be measured. Weak, pathetic and spineless the lot of’em. And as for those who actually break the social distancing obligations and drive to their second homes or other distant places they should receive an on the spot fine of at least £1,000 (or more for repeat violations) with the money going into Tom’s NHS fund.

The sad thing about the money collected for the NHS .......... our government will not have to give the NHS so much now Sad as its been subsidized by the public.

Yes YOU, tax payers.

Donations, from most, would have been - after tax - so the government win both ways.
Sad

It's always best to look on the bright side don't you think, Capt Tom has provided a much needed boost for the NHS and everybodys morale which I think is more important than sniping at the Government at a time when we all need a bit of cheering up. 94 Disco 300 TDI Gone

It's easy to avoid paying tax on your gift.
So when you donate just tick the box which allows them to claim back your tax, I did. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Thumbs Up at a time such as now, we all need to pull together; whenever an opposition MP, or councillor is being interviewed there's always the inevitable jibe at how the Government should be dealing with this and that. Forget the politics ffs, knuckle down and support what is being done. None of us has ever experienced the situation we presently face, so there's no tried and tested processes in place.
