When you switch engine off and still have the radio on it will only stay on for about ten minutes before shutting down. Perfectly normal. |

Thanks guys - have not had this message come up before even with the radio on, ignition off and then radio shutting down after about 10 mins -hence my concern. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

You would need to carry out a "load" test on the battery, a voltage test alone is not always accurate. If you have the ability to properly charge the battery, I would start there. I know the radio shuts off after a predetermined time but I don't know whether that is usually accompanied by the message you saw. Pretty sure someone will confirm that soon..... |

When my battery was dying I got a warning during turning the ignition on "Low Battery, please switch engine on ..."

I am sure that is perfectly normal On the 2013 onward models. It is annoying that you can't listen to the radio while waiting for your passengers to finish shopping though. |
