Boxbrownie: Most ICUs are setting up small dedicated teams just for contacting relatives by phone and giving regular updates. The clinical teams simply dont have the time or staff numbers to do that without impacting upon the care they are giving. Jules |

Only the crew are on-board. Some of the ships are refusing to leave Australian waters. So there is a standoff, but they need food & medicine for the crew. The really sick crew are being helicoptered off the ships. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

It's not over the curve. It may have flattened a bit but I think there is a lot we are not being told. This is going to go on for a very long time. Bunker down! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

In hospitals, I agree. My mother is in a private home, the medical staff are great. My family and the staff/management have a very good relationship. They allow my family to phone call, videophone and drop letters/newspapers in to the home, whenever. As a family after each call we call other members of the family and discuss. We call Tues/Thurs/ weekends, the staff are very happy with that and are always pleased to oblige. I have worked in Video transfer for most of my career, and installed videohones for my family and, my then, wife's family way back in the mid 90's. I worked away from home a lot then and regularly held video calls to my own family and even helped with my children's homework. I lived in a fully automated home, which I built in the late 80's, controlling curtains, light and heating by phone then. I built the first, what is now, called Hive for British Gas, in 1989. Too far ahead of it's (and my) time sadly. |

All that automation must be a bit of a bummer these days when one looks forward to making a decision on when to turn on the heating, and how to re-arrange the curtains. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

You were screened in Dubai, so no need to screen at Birmingham as well.
