Apparently the statistics are such that you should only buy a lottery ticket on the day of the lottery. Your chances of winning the jackpot are less than the chance of being killed in an accident or natural causes over the preceding few days. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Won a couple of £10 prizes on the Postcode lottery but yet to have the team in the red jackets turn up and present the cheque.

I remember back in the 90's when Camelot started the first Lottery. A guy at work read somewhere that if you buy 57 tickets you were virtually assured that one would win. He did and it worked. Unfortunately he spent £57 on tickets and only won £10. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Postcode lottery is a scam. I tried it for a couple of years and like you only ever won £10 twice. If you try and opt out, they try every trick to retain you and keep you on the phone for ages. I expect they get loads of people trying to opt out of ther direct debits, so they keep advertising it on the TV to get more mugs to sign up. https://www.lottoexposed.com/postcodelottery-co-uk-exposed/ |

Can you explain this? I can't see how which day you buy your ticket can make a difference. |

It is a 100% certainty that you will die at some point in the future but hopefully a very small risk that you will die in the next couple of minutes. The further away your lottery win, the higher the risk that you will be dead before you win. At some point your probability of winning the lottery becomes lower than your probability of being dead by then. So the nearer to the draw that you buy your ticket, the higher the chance that you will be alive to enjoy the cash. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto Previously: 2010 MY FL2 TD4e GS - Now gone at 199,500 miles, about 135,000 of them mine. ‘93 Defender 110 200TDi CSW ‘87 Defender 90 4 cyl Petrol ‘83 110 CSW V8 - best ever! I got one, too, but with an initial that is one step higher up the alphabet, I got twice the money... clearly the draw is rigged in favour of the Andrews, Alec’s etc...or perhaps even the Ernies! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto Previously: 2010 MY FL2 TD4e GS - Now gone at 199,500 miles, about 135,000 of them mine. ‘93 Defender 110 200TDi CSW ‘87 Defender 90 4 cyl Petrol ‘83 110 CSW V8 - best ever!
