Looking around the various forums for other vehicles with DPFs it looks as if you need high temp rubber pipe (85C) rather than fuel tubing so will probably go for this although I only need a short length.

Well it's a nice day and I have finally replaced my split DPF pipe (which came up as an MOT advisory) as I now have a length of DPF pressure sensor pipe. The original is about 8.25cms long and it's 6mm internal diameter pipe you need. The pipe as fitted has a sharp bend in it which causes the pipe to split and it's worth checking (if you have a post 2011 model with the DPF fitted). The effect of the leak will be on DPF regeneration. There is a sharp bend which causes the problem. I tried different lengths but eventually used a piece about 200mm long curled round as in the image below as shorter lengths looked as if they would eventually kink and block the pipe. With the car jacked up it's fairly easy to get to although you can't get both hands in. Before anyone mentions it the pipe only has a clip at one end for some reason. (edit I wonder if it's only got one clip so that the pipe can blow off if the pressure is too high?)

You might be right on the factory story. Perhaps someone can have a look under theirs and check. Incidentally this is the second post 2011 FL2 we have had with a DPF and both have gone the same way. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
