Remove alarm sensor

Hi, I've recently just bought a nine month old Metropolis and so far am very pleased with it.
However, there's an annoying rattle/squeak coming from somewhere behind the volumetric alarm sensors - or at least if I press up on that panel the rattle/squeak goes away.
I've read somewhere else that it may just be clips behind this sensor body - but how do you remove the sensor casing from the headlining?
If it's easy to sort, I'd prefer do it myself rather than take it 20 miles to the dealer I bought it from, then have to leave it for half a day.................................

Try pulling down on the head lining just at the back of the front sunroof behind the drivers head (doesn't take much force). I had the same problem and found that pulling the roof lining out of one of the retaining clips solved it for me. After 6 months or so it started rattling in the new position, so I pushed it back up and it hasn't done it again since.

Another annoying rattle in the same area on mine is, when I have the sunroof open (fully tilted) it can rattle (vibrate) on tickover or slow moving traffic. I've gotten into the habit of, once fully tilted, a short dab on the close button to bring it down half an inch will stop it! Thumbs Up

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.

Over the last few of weeks i have had a very annoying buzz/rattle at certain revs coming from the interior alarm sensor between the sunroofs so today i thought i would investigate, I gently pulled down the head lining where the sensor is attached and found a dried out leaf in there, WTF?
I then pushed the head liner back into place and went for a drive... no more noises Thumbs Up 94 Disco 300 TDI Gone
