Not sure how the priority online and shopping hours will work for the over70s? How will the online system know the shoppers true age? Could stick all my shopping through on my mums account and if everyone does that, blows the whole priority thing out the water.
Similarly early hours shopping, mum doesn't drive so I take her . . . . assuming I can help her in store, do I throw my shopping in as well or will it be vetted at the checkout?
Nice ideas but all down to trust again and given the whole stockpiling issue, not sure it'll work Sad

The computerized tills do the 'vetting' ......... the staff do the confiscating, Based on each 'customer' transaction.

Well we have been trying since yesterday to order online from Waitrose, website completely closed most of the time, when we did get to fill an order it had no delivery slots available at all.......not sure what we do about our self isolation in this case, Mrs BB having cancer treatment presently and ongoing rheumatoid arthritis, my 93 year old Mum lives with us and she is undergoing breast cancer treatment as well and I am at risk with my Asthma........maybe I’ll don the wetsuit and goggles and make a “supermarket sweep” raid.......if it wasn’t serious it would be funny. Regards

David

Police were called who arrested both of them one copper said to her this is the third toilet paper fight we’ve been to today.

B&Q had a similar problem with the Diamond Club discount card for the old folks on a Wednesday before they canned it. They found that builders were bringing along little old ladies who were apparently buying numerous bags of cement and building materials for their personal use. Laughing 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

In Tesco today I picked up three tins of baked beans at 65p each = £1.95 or three for £1.70. Got to the till and the girl said I was only allowed to have two tins. I told her they were on offer at three for £1.70 so she decided it was okay for me to buy three. The rub was they had no bread so bang goes my beans on toast and an egg banjo.

I wondered why they stopped that, annoying as it was very useful. Regards

What I was quite surprised at was that there was a run on eggs......I ran short and they are nowhere to be found. I need to Google how to hoard eggs safely! Big Cry

So all our local supermarkets now close 10pm till 6am so that they have a chance of restocking the shelves without staff being abused by impatient shoppers. So I was at Sainsbury's at 6:30 Got a pack of loo roll, chicken etc.

One woman at the checkout raising a right ruckus because she wasn't allowed 3 pack of 24 loo rolls, next till another woman getting quite upset because maximum of two of anything, she had half a dozen tins of dog food. OK more than two, but if you have a large dog probably only three days worth.

As an aside, need hard surface wipes - try screwfix, Big wipes anti- bacterial, loads in stock. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
