US border officials find fake test kits

Border protection officers in Los Angeles have seized a package containing suspected counterfeit coronavirus test kits arriving from the UK.

The package was initially declared as "purified water vials" with a value of $196.81 (£160), but officers found glass containers labelled as Covid-19 test kits inside. These have been turned over to the US drug agency for further inspection.

I’ve not heard that, or the intention. I have heard they are trying to slow the peak timing and “flatten the curve”, the only reference I have seen to heard immunity is it should have taken effect by the next year/infection period. Regards

Small world problems and all that, but my first proper road trip on and off road with the Argonut is cancelled. Was off with my beautiful missus and associated shoes and handbags across Spain for a bit of roving for a couple of weeks and CV19 has put the block on that. Now we have to sort out what to do with ferries and villa bookings. I guess we might just have a day in the Elan Valley to see the lambs and reservoirs instead.

Folks have bigger problems that that in this crisis I know, and I feel a bit of a fraud being disappointed about my little trip, but I have to confess I really do.

The guy's an epidemiologist and his opinion is no greater than an electricians or a schoolteacher (who know everything so they tell us), the government are on a delay stage and depending how it goes it may have a side effect of herd immunity, there are far too many self proclaimed experts who will have their day and disappear back to oblivion, right or wrong unlike the government who take the flack before or after, right or wrong
