On the 2012model HSE the auto headlights is on the lower right dash with the lights switch, to the left the two fog switches, I will send a photo later my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

This is where the fog and headlight auto switches are, ther L/H stalk only does dip/main and selects/resets trip options on the LCD display, a lot less options than on the pre 2010MY upgrade

This is what I find weird. On ours, that area down at the bottom of the dash only has controls for dash brightness and headlamp levelling. And a little coin slot.

I found an updated stalk with all the controls including auto & front and rear fogs on the indicator stalk. Almost the same as the Evogue and Disco sport by the looks of things. LR seriously did some weird things......

The little coin slot is to hold your key.

During 2012 they changed the design. Pre-facelift models have the green LCD screens on the dash and the headlight knob is on the right as shown in the photo. Post-facelift models have the colour TFT screen between the dials and the headlights are on a stalk.

Post facelift are 2013 MY introduced for sale in Sept 2012, it would appear Cristof's car is 2013MY but as stated before you can get any extra you want over standard or pack if it's a deal breaker. Some cars supplied to hire companies have very odd extras whether they are ordered or are quality control failures from an order who knows Sad my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Yup, wife's is definitely a facelift model - full nice pretty digital display on the instrument cluster, although a lack of NAV means the pitiful little screen for the radio etc is a let down....and the audio system is utter pants compared to my X5 but I digress.

Also helps clarify that all the light controls are on that stalk, or should be. Still tempted to get another stalk with the extra controls on and see what it does especially given that the light sensor is already there in the rear mirror housing.

And now I know what that "coin slot" is for too! Thanks all Smile

If the wiring is all there along with the sensors then you may have to enable the extras by hooking up to diagnostic system and enable them via Car Config my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
