If you press the nav button again when already on the navigation map it will give you options of On Road Navigation or Off Road Navigation. If you chose off road it will display a compass on the nav screen. Freelander 2 XS 2013

I spent an hour yesterday reading the handbook and still haven't fully got to grips with it. Makes my old Disco seem very agricultural. Ian.

This is a good thread where you might learn something new about your Freelander.

A few more miles and still very happy. I've discovered that I don't have a heated front screen which is a slight drawback although I have to say that my Discovery one had most of its elements not working.... It also has manual seats rather than electric and no sunroof, both of which I see as advantages rather than drawbacks, certainly if the sunroofs are as prone to leaking as the Disco one.

I've found this link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fwsyx91fjag1s76...4BFpa?dl=0 which shows options for different model years. Interestingly, heated screen seemed to be standard for 012 model year but deleted for 013 which is what mine is. Back to de-icer I suppose....[/url] Ian.
