Hi there, I have recently noticed that the drivers side circular LED DRL cluster on MY13 Freelander (non signature strip) will be off during my journey. Pretty sure it is on when I start the car. Oddly though if I turn off the car and lock it, then unlock it the originally dead LED cluster will turn on as normal.

Someone else posted recently that their circular DRL's went out on one side when they fitted the LED HB3 bulbs. The post was slightly garbled but it sounds like the same issue you are seeing here. As the last post in that thread suggested, the LED replacement bulbs could be causing a canbus error. They probably use a high frequency switching driver to control the LED emitters and this may be generating a lot of RF interference.

I am waiting on some HID bulbs as well. Probably the same shipment that you're waiting for which has apparently gone for an extended trip round some UK ports due to the bad weather. |
