Central London 20mph speed limit introduced

A speed limit of 20mph has been imposed on all central London roads managed by Transport for London (TfL) in a bid to reduce road deaths.

So you pay a LEZ Charge to get to an area where you pay a Congestion Charge to do 20MPH !!

I thought that the average speed of traffic in London was only about 12mph anyway. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

So in London people pay to travel in a taxi at 6 mph yet can walk at 5 mph. I suppose the benefit is that they are in the dry! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

If i could get up to 20 mph in central London i would be a happy man.
So its said 12mph acros Greater London and 6mph in central if your having a good day. MY06 FL1 TD4 2 door red (gone)

In all my life, I never ever EVER thought that anyone else in the world could be as incompetent at running a city, and being profligate with taxpayers cash as much as Ken Livingstone. Then this prized Twerp gets voted in and makes Red Ken look like the Messiah in comparison!

The old adage, you get what you vote for has never been truer in this case. So glad I moved away from it all....

I wonder how many more stabbings there were over the weekend on Khans watch?

A traffic light in my part of the world is entertainment for "passed it" motorists who sit and watch the pretty lights change colour and think they will just stay and wait for that pretty red light to come around again before they think about moving off.
