Vehicle identification from crap pics.

My brother sent me a text this evening letting me know his neighbour wants to sell her sports car as she no longer has use for it. I've helped her with her Freelander in the past , so she asked him to give me first refusal. Trouble is, I never saw the vehicle
although I was aware she had one under a cover.
Now, my brother has no clue and says he thinks it's an MG Rolling Eyes but can't go outside to view it as it's now under a big tent thing (his words) and his neighbour is away until the end of next week.
I managed to get these very poor pics of it under a cover but can't identify it.
Anyone ?

That was my first thought when my brother said he thought it was an MG, to which I replied I wouldn't be interested if it was an F or TF. But the pics above don't seem to match the MG TF lines, especially when compared to other TF's that have full covers on.
I could be wrong, of course. Could just be a very ill fitting cover.

If it is one of those, lovely car but lots of variants...also needs a vehicle inspection before purchase as the chassis rots out and they are incredibly expensive to repair! Don’t buy it on a whim!!

I would suggest a Lotus of about late 70's early 80's but front end indicates more of the Esprit model or even Eclat, that S4 has a ugly front end Laughing my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

Ease up the edge of the cover and see if there is any logo on the wheel centre cap . Every time I learn something new, something old gets pushed out of my brain?

It's around 30 miles from where I live and my brother reckons there's a more substantial framed cover over it now covering it entirely. I think this will be a mystery until his neighbour returns next week.

Yes, thought about a 924 and 944 but the bodywork is different behind the back wheel, well at least what you can see is anyway.
