Normally that plug has a water tight gasket in order to prevent water ingression. Was it OK?
Do you have any more codes on the TCM?
If yes and you feel up to a challenge, then remove the cover of the valve block and look there where the wires lead. Drain the gearbox fluid first.
Then measure the wires from the connector to each valve and sensor.
But you will need space, as the cover is facing forward and there is very little space between gearbox and engine cooler.

Good mourning Alex
The seal must have failed
There was antifreeze/water in the plug
I’m only getting two codes now, since I cleaned the plug out
I had a coolant leak for a wile , new thermostat fitted

There’s a bit off rust in the plugs still 2008 xs

From what I know, no, they are not linked to the VIN.

Excellent news and great trouble shooting analysis! Just curious, do you have any ideas as to how water intruded the watertight seal?
