Differennt topic, related to your picture. Do you also have a significant dimming down of the dash board illumination, when switching on the lights (Bi-Xenon in my case) Regards FreeGreen |

Watch out Frobius, I posted a photo like yours showing 48 odd mpg at 50mph after 150 miles and the forum police hit their keyboard so fast it was scary, questioning the morals of taking a picture whilst driving

The forum police can eat my balls. Again no offence mods, I love you guys in here but I know what you mean Doug, some mods on some forums think that their position on the internet makes them the salvation of society. Particularly geek forums I have noticed!

Sorry guys I lied I have looked back at my post from last year and it was 45+ mpg after 83 miles on a 350 mile round trip, not 48.

When I bought my TD4 SE Auto in April last year, my first trip was from the dealers (London) back home to Blackpool. At a general 70-75mph I averaged 38.4 I think it was, which seemed very reasonable. In December we took it to Torver for its 12 month first service (less than 9,000mls) and it had the PTC thing done too. Went down to Northampton at Xmas and got 32.7mpg. I've been up to the Lakes in Jan with a very light foot and got the same. Ironically, I'm getting 29mpg round town.

My ave mpg for the last tank of fuel was 36 mpg. I drive 36 miles to work which includes 5 miles of city driving through the road works capital of the world! I check my mpg every tank of fuel and have never noticed any change due to cold weather |
