Service Mileage reset

I am unable to reset the service countdown mileage on my FL2 (currently -2903) neither of the methods on here work, additionally I have used an iCarsoft v2.0 to try and reset and that doesn't wok either, sometimes I get an error "instrument tamper", other times nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea how I can get his reset please.

I can confirm at least one of those methods works as I used the same post to clear my issue.

Plus, it gets you unlimited lives in Sonic The Hedgehog.

P.S. apologies to anyone not old enough to get the reference. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

Try taking the battery terminals off for a few minutes then try reset again, as above you can’t beat a Brazilian Very Happy

Thanks for the suggestions, however I can reset the mileage, it's just that instead of resetting it to zero, I get an error message, the first method of switching on the ignition whilst holding the trip button allows access to the reset menu and I CAN reset the time (days) counter, but when I try to reset the MILEAGE counter I just get an error "cannot reset" and it goes back to showing -2309 miles to service. I have left the battery disconnected for 3 days and also shorted the terminals (obviously with no battery connnected!!) Nothing works.

^^^I had this before; but only when I had already reset the mileage and did not realize it. I would redo everything again.

Mine is a 2008 and this works for me:
1.Insert the key
2.With off ignition press trip recorder reset button
3.Keep pressed trip recorder reset button and press Start longer 2 seconds
4.There displays blinking message Service. After finishing of blinking release the button
5.There displays message DIST
6.A short press reset button will change messages DIST -> DATE -> END
7.Select DIST and hold the button longer 5 seconds there will display Reset and occur reset a
service distance
8.Select DATE and hold the button longer 5 seconds there will display Reset and occur reset a
service interval
9.Select END and hold the button longer 5 seconds there will finished the service mode

If that does not work I would use a scanner to see if you are having some communication module failure.
