There’s a range of after market rear view/reversing cameras available on eBay and I’m wondering what experience people have of them. One type replaces one of the number plate lights and these seem to cost around £13. A second type replaces the boot handle and these typically cost around £24-28. Some claim to have CCD sensors while others are CMOS.

It would be primarily intended to make hooking up to my car trailer a bit easier.

Any thoughts or advice?

I fitted a reversing camera from ebay. Excellent performance.
Fitted the LCD screen into the dashboard.

Also I fitted a camera to the rear of the caravan. This has proven to be very helpful for manoeuvring and confidence in lane changing.

Thanks, but which type of camera did you fit to your car. Was it one that replaces the number plate light or one that replaces the tailgate handle? Or a different type altogether?

Its the basic camera which I screwed into the boot panel, next to the number plate lights.

Anyone fitted a reversing camera to a 2014 FL2 GS model which has no sat nav etc; fitted with just a radio and CD player.
