A bit more snowy today, the Velar had a bit more of a work out getting to the top, though the sun was shining but the windchill took literally took my breath away. Passed a BMW 3 series owner who gave up and a Peugeot 3008 in a ditch.

Ah ok, they look certainly capable and up to the job in the white stuff. I took a Velar off road a couple of years back at East of England experience centre, and was astounded at just how capable the car is when the going gets tough!

They don't look to be winter rated is that correct?

I was sure the tyres fitted to my DiL's Velar were a summer tyre, which is what I warned her about after coming from the D5 with Pirelli allseasons. Regards

yes it’s Goodyear eagles all season.

Summer tyres are a no cost option on the Velar. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Though they were described as Glasgow students in the Daily Mail, BBC Scotland news describes them being foreign as did the mountain rescue team. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Typical "Millennials". Absolutely no common sense and no doubt will blame their stupidity in the "Boomers", as apparently it's always the "Boomers" fault because they don't/can't/won't accept any responsibility for their own actions !!
As for the 22 volunteer rescuers risking their own lives - "well that's their job,it's what they're there for isn't it , they volunteered after all, so nobody's making them do it.............FFS! " #
