dash trim help

hi all, after joining the group 6 months or so on the look out to buy a FL2 iv finally bought one, I was originally going to go for the HSE or dynamic around the 12/13 plate, but ended up buying my mates mint 2010 plate TD4 HSE, would of refered a newer one but this was to good to pass up on really, price and condition wise, only the one photo at the moment,
anyway its perfect in every way other than a bit of wood on the dash that im not sure I like or not, can you buy a new black set as its just the bit above the glove box and a bit either side of the steering wheel, iv looked and looked but can only find wood ones Rolling with laughter
thanks.

I have the trim in timber, it came with the car. Of all the options I think it is the only one with class!

Cover it up with some grey duct tape for a weeks trial.

The timber trim matches dust on the centre console!

Can't help you where you get the trim bits either ebay or try powerfuluk but mine got the gloss black trim and it's a pain.....always look grubby with fingerprints. Sooner have the wood or the silver. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I never notice mine but if it really bugs you, a cheap and easy solution would be to purchase something like a black carbon fibre type tape roll and cut it to cover the trim.....or cover the trim then cut it. You can use a hairdryer/heat gun to get it to shrink fit. It could last a really long time, I used it on a bumper and it lasted for years. Need to clean the area well before application.

I will give it a bit and see how it sits with me, it will probably be ok, never had a car with wood before
