There is a chain between the two camshafts. Could also be the timing chain / timing chain tensioner. |

Cheers Alex, cant understand why it goes when the oil gets warmer, thinner, I thought if it were the chain it would be quieter when cold. Dose this engine have hydraulic lifters?

If they have lifters can they be changed without removing the cam shafts?

No, the rockers, valves and hydraulic lifters are below the camshafts...
