I was wondering why we are getting gales and they are not. Perhaps they also need to leave the EU . . . ? Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

The UK gets gales from the Atlantic weather, Rome gets its weather from the African continent dry and warm plus southern europe and west south Asia none of which are particularly violent but can get freezing weather from northen Siberia, the Uk can get four weather directions but Italy only three and mostly non violent. Where weather is concerned islands fare the worse continental land masses fare the best. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

You can always rely on the Daily Express to tell us we are all doomed.

Most journo's get their MPH and KPH confused. it's the new education system developed in the 60's, if you want it to be a large number use metric, if dumming down use imperial my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

So much more dangerous when it is milligrammes and microgrammes - folk have been killed that way. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

It depends on what you are measuring and what is most familiar. In a conversation I overheard one chap said that the imperial sysytem was best as 6 inches sounded impressive. Another chap said that the metric system was better as 150 millimetres sounded even more impressive. But a young woman thought that the equestrian system was best as she liked to measure it in hands !!! J |
