Question about genuine LR dog guard with divider fitted.

Would the space available be adequate for a fully grown Labrador?

Have new puppy at moment and wondered about buying one but don't want to spend loads of dosh if would be too small when she grows up.

Is there anyone in North Nottinghamshire\North Derbyshire\South York's areas with one fitted so I could have a look?

TIA Andy

Andy - with the dog guard and roller blind fitted it might be a little tight for a fully grown Lab and a puppy would be tempted to chew the blind anyway. Should be fine with the just the dog guard fitted though. Thumbs Up

don't forget pictures of said Puppy or nobody will believe you Whistle Laughing

Thanks Rog, it was really the space with the divider fitted I was interested in as it's not clear from pictures how much space it leaves.

As requested, photo of new arrival.

absolute little stunner there.... but then they get big ! Laughing

sorry I misread about the divider.... I think you may find the Lab when fully grown will find the space tight with the divider and door on. I have the Travall divider in my D4 (no cage door) and put my medium spaniel in one side and my sons fully grown Lab in the other side. I would say the Lab is about at its comfortable limit for space, and the FL2 boot is considerably smaller than a D4 boot.

IMHO Probably best to just have the dog guard and leave the cage for short journeys once its an adult. As a pup it will be fine with the divider.

Thanks for info Rog.
I already have a Travall guard, but they don't do a divider for Freelander. That's why I was looking at the LR one.
Looks like it would be an expensive option for a short period.
I think I'll look for a cheaper cage option till she's too big and needs whole boot.

Brian, her name is Poppy. She's 12 weeks now, and into everything! Andy
