This is the most likely, several years ago I had a car next to me alarm unexpectedly, and once I realised it was me causing it, I amused myself for a few minutes, waiting for it to stop, and then seeing how close I could get. Then my wife came back from the shops...…. (well how do you amuse yourself whilst waiting) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 82k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Unlikely to be proximity if it was reacting to when I pushed the buttons on the FL2 key though. I could make the BMW lights stop and start flashing. More like reacting to my key fob. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

When I used to park my F1 on a local car park to collect my prescriptions, I could lock it on the fob but couldn't unlock it using the fob. I could only unlock it using the key, but then the alarm would sound and it would be a |
