England

Hi,
I have just started using the Meguiars spray on Hybrid ceramic wax after reading Andy's (tyrefitter) thread over on the RRS side of things
have used it on the FL2 and water beads well and an easy wash and retreat process, have not had any marks and use every where but the windscreen

car had a couple of days work on it when I bought it 8 months ago and has only needed a wash and Wax since Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

Without trying to turn this into a detailing thread Smile...

Megs products have always been good to me, I use their range of product from wash to correct, but on seeing some of the reviews of the new TW hybrid products, I just have to give them a go.

The plan for the spring was to do a decontaminate, clay, and two stage correction where necessary on the darker coloured merc (one stage mainly - it’s not too swirly) and put on a semi-pro ceramic coating such as Pyramid as it is simple to apply compared to the others. But despite TW products being a distant memory for me, on seeing the reviews of the new hybrid range I just have to give them a whirl. The gloss improvement readings and resistance to (admittedly fairly unrealistic) chemical breakdown tests is encouraging enough to make me spend about 36 quid on a polish and spray duo and stick with the existing snow foam, Bilberry and trusted Megs wash for the moment.

Some warmer weather will help inspire me to get the cars (and the rather green boat moored at the bottom of the garden) done too. Hence the mention of application in direct sunlight - nice and warm on the old bones and I can see what I am chasing easier during correction Smile

I've been using this during the winter months and can't fault it , for the type of product it takes some beating , wash car apply to one panel at a time 1/2 sprays and wipe over with a plush microfibre then rinse off job done .

I used a product last year called Beadmaker, a pricy silicone detailer. I've used silicone detailers for years on fiberglass boats and a quick detail after every use usually works well to keep it looking clean and free of hard water spots.

Anyway, I rarely use my LR2 wipers in rain since using this product as the water at the right speed just beads and runs off.
