Sorry just found other thread, now seen they're available in 265/60/18 with slightly higher load rating 110. Speed rating looks a bit odd.

I wouldnt want you close behind me on a wet road running those. Only E rated for wet weather grip.

an extra 3-6m stopping distance for each step in the ratings at 50 mph. That could be an extra 24m for these tyres.

But they do Look nice and meaty though and in the mud Im sure theyre great. Jules

That's one mean looking tire.
Gotta have dedicated winter tires in Ontario (Canada) as it gets very icy on tree lined shaded rural roads in my neck of the woods.

I have these tires. Though noisy, they handle very well in the summer. But I do run different tires, different sizes for the winter. Incidentally, they are fine in the wet.

They are getting noisier as they get older but the noise is not out of hand but glad I have all the acoustic insulation.

OP here, they're not to go on a Freelander2 btw, the 265 would be too wide, but to go on a Ford Ranger job pickup. It's been on OEM Continental all seasons which have been ok, but considering how wet it's been, that it spends 60% minimum of time on mud tracks, and now the all seasons are down to 4mm ish better to get something more knobbly.

4.4mm gap on my car with 255mm tyres. Measured very carefully with shims.

The other issue is I had to raise the boot floor 6mm for the 255mm spare tyre. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I had these fitted about 3000 miles ago, very good in mud but no so on the road, they just seem a bit vague to be honest. I know the FL2 is no sports car but I've really had to keep the speed down around corners. They can drift wide very easily. Other than that they are reasonably quiet and seem to be wearing OK.
