we are informed in the UK that the temp in OZ is likely to break the record for the hottest day ever there next week, they also say the record was just over 50c, set way back in 1960 . . . . . . . long before the terms global warming / climate change appeared. 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

Don’t know about 50 but we set an all time record today for 3 days over 40 in December whilst not an uncommon temperature it’s very early in the season hence a record.

Fitzroy Crossing which is in the north of Western Australia normally sits around the 45 to 49 range so wouldn’t be surprised. I think the record is 49.something so 50 is only a matter of time. We might break maximum temperature records but the real problem is the shear number of days at extreme temperatures, & what kills people is when it doesn't cool down at night.

Global warming is a misnomer, but there's no doubting that odd things are afoot on the climate front. There's a heatwave in Perth and they're skiing in December at Thredbo. Meanwhile the East Coast is literally on fire. I think that all of the issues can be traced back to over population that basically rapes the environment in many different ways. The more people you cram into a fixed space, the worse the conditions are for everyone in that space. Common sense. |

My daughter lives in Cowaramup just outside Margaret River and she says it's SCORCHIO. Far to hot to work outside, so as a teacher, they are keeping all the kids inside where they have air conditioning going full blast. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Hotter weather was one of the reasons we put insulation in our roof.
