Could be the MAF and MAP sensors need cleaning but it's a shot in the dark. Would have thought there would be some fault codes shown |

When it was serviced was the fuel filter changed for genuine LR filter as pattern fuel filters can give problems. |

My 2011 SD4 seemed to have lost some of its ponies so I did the normal things, service, filters, etc. It had no fault codes showing. After all that there was no improvement. On a whim I changed the MAF sensor. Wow, what a difference! It ran smoother and was much more responsive and noticeably quicker. A degraded MAF sensor will not usually result in a fault code and they do deteriorate over time. |

Try & find out first if the filter was changed & if it was maybe a genuine LR filter might have been fitted |

As you encountered the problem in the morning, at cold startup, not later, after warmup (like the suggested topic says), try to blank off the EGR first.

Just returned from the garage and they run a diagnostic check and it came back crankshaft sensor fault!! So have been on the phone to the garage who replaced this about 5 weeks ago, it's under warranty so they will replace it. Do you think this is problem???? |

These Crank sensors can be very fickle - you must use genuine OEM ones to be sure. I once fitted one I got from an autoparts factor and although their stuff is normally good enough the car never ran right till I had a genuine one fitted.
