As Winter draws to a close no dealer will want stock left over so its got to be the best time to pickup a battery, one question it may be worth king though is month and year of manufacture.

Years ago it did not matter too much as you filled them with acid at point of sale but all being sealed now once its got that acid in its off making its juice so the closer you get to the make time all the better. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Battery now four month old, never missed a beat. As far as I'm concerned it was a good buy.  Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.

Just thought I'd briefly resurrect this thread for the doubters.
Battery coming up to three years old with no problems. Just put a load test on it to check for winter coming, all in the green.
I know there are lots of people on this forum who will only by from a LR dealer, that's fine, someone has to pay for the swanky waiting area and posh coffee machine.

Then there are those, and I include myself, who like to do their own work and will look for parts at a more realistic price.

Hello all,although I have been an avid reader of this forum this is my first post,just fitted a Varta f19 to my13 td4 auto,got it on eBay from Tanya delivered for £88.89 delivered which I thought was a pretty good price.
