Yes, its impossible with SDD. To be clear, what you need to do with AHCM: 1. If you have not responding AHCM after unsuccessful car Telestart option upgrade or simply AHCM software upgrade - you need add AHCM as NEW. DON'T USE Mongoose Pro cable and SDD on virtual machine. You need an external power source and SDD not higher than 131. SDD downloads all required files for AHCM by itsef. 2. If you need Telestart option - simply take WTT and download to AHCM appropriate dump with Telestart switched on, using special cable, or VAGs K-Line. In first case you may need download dump too. DON'T try switch on Telestart option via SDD! Thats all. |

OK, this is very helpful and a research jump point, thank you!
I will also research AHCM, thank you.....another question from a layman, what type of external power source for what device? The laptop, the programmer cable? |

If it's simple battery charger - this can be dangerous when programming. Output voltage can bounce depending on load, which changes during programming action. Best solution is intelligent charger with supply option like https://www.ctek.com/products/professional/mxs-25 |

No problem - for example when you will download software to IPC and in middle of process communication fault occurs - you will get some...some brown pants |

Really not so bad - each module has its own bootloader - so you always can rectify it and try again with different interface, computer, with power supply, etc.... excluding case when you upload bad software and module is bricked. |

OK, just pulled the proverbial "trigger" on one of these bad boys from Amazon Canada supplied by CTEK North America, a CTEK (56-674) Multi US 25000. Figured I'd like to minimize the possibility of "bricking" ECU chips since my existing battery charger came out of my bass boat (plan was to double up the two 12V banks (15As each). The supply mode was the deciding factor on the CTEK and, of course, Amazon Canada's price. I did forget to order brown pants.......as I have a set of chest waders. |
