Whoops, sorry to bring it to others attention Whistle

I got the impression that not many on here looked on ebay, as sellers often take the p Censored with the prices due to the limited amount of secondhand FL2 gear available.

On this item, does the chip really need a bracket to hold it in place, or have I misunderstood and this particular chip is not actually one of a potato based variety? FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

the spoiler has a chip in it, and also the spoilers require metal brackets to clamp them on to the cars body work, otherwise they are held on just by double sided 3M tape

And you can't buy the brackets either Rolling Eyes

I actually look on eBay all the time,

So far i have bought 2 sets of black sides protection tubes for £100 each set, some replacement lower door trims for 99p to swap them to the car when it comes time to sell to get rid of the doors scuffs from hitting my garden wall Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sorry, I was deliberately mis-interpreting your post for comic effect (Unsucessfully obviously) Embarassed

I also find ebay is good for bits and pieces, if you can find them without too many others bidding. Managed to pick up a GS rim as a replacement for the steel spare a while ago. Still not put a tyre on it yet Rolling Eyes FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

yep, I found a spoiler, it was painted my colour, bought it, and then asked if it had the bracket, got a refund then found out what the brackets looked like, but he went against his word and sold it straight away Big Cry

This one will require a respray to stornaway grey, and the chip repair, as normally the price shoots up near the end, then the cost of it been sanded, resprayed will shoot the price up more than the cost of just having a new Primed one painted (£45) from my local chap

The weird thing is, when I fitted mine, one of the clamps does not even touch the inside of the tailgate, so I used a small 2/3mm plastic packing block? But the original 3M tape is so strong you don't really need the clamps.

A friend of mine who had a spoiler put on his, sold the car (Which was black CG Wink ) and bought an HSE in Black and tried to remove the spoiler from his car, could we get if off, nope! It was stuck like a really sticky thing!

So he had to leave it on as either the car or the spoiler would get damaged. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

did bid on it, sold for £87, okay if you've a red car already, but taking into account respray and repair, it wasn't worth it

There is a black spoiler, side skirts and HST grill on eBay now too Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Seems too be 2 different fixing methods ie clamp styles running at the moment though the blow moulding surfaces seem identical except in the area of the fixings. Are the after market items different to OE fit.
Given that I see no usefull reason for this appendage, it is even to high up for resting a coffee cup on. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
