Whistling or Whale Noises?

Hi All, before I splash out my money on roof rails, do they make noises in the wind? Years ago a friend had a car with roof bars and it was almost unbearable because of the noise they made. Jon Freelander 2 Metropolis. 2014

I have (aerodynamic) Whispbars and find that there is no noise.

I only fit them when I need to carry long loads, I feel leaving any bars on permanently only cause extra drag.

I too have Whispbars and have no noise. I leave mine on all the time.

However when I put a bike rack up there (metal tubes) there's an end piece missing from the front of the rack and that sounds like someone blowing down a very bad wind instrument Laughing FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

"that sounds like someone blowing down a very bad wind instrument"

You can get some stuff from the chemist to cure that.
