Perhaps it’s Clarksons local superstore, we all know what he feels about electric motors and their owners |

I would welcome electric cars tomorrow, if it brings an end to the stupid noise emitted from boy racers cars. round here they only come out at night (when they wake up) and rasp for miles beyond the village.

When I was still working I had to gain a BTec qualification to work on the hybrid buses. the training involved a lot of Elf & Safety. Part of it being testing your PPE before using it, this included a pair of large rubber gauntlets rated at 1000VDC. To test each glove you attached it to a pump and inflated it then plunged it in to a bucket of water, if there were no bubbles you could put them on and play with the 600 Volt / mega amps battery packs 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep 2013 SD4 HSE The posh one for towing the caravan 1973 Triumph Stag I bought in 2009 and restored. |

Not quite true, have to be fitted yes, but they only have to sound under 18 mph......authorites assume if you hit somebody over 18 mph they should have heard the tyre noise like any other vehicle, PARDON? Regards
