Admiral

I was really shocked today... I got a price from Admiral for my FL and my wifes Clio. Although I've been driving for eighteen years an admin slipup last year meant that I lost my NCB. Despite only having one years NCB and with an excess of £150 they only want £263 and £150 for my wife. I was expecting the worse but I really cant grumble at that price...

I'm with Direct Line, and despite the normal slagging they get, have to say they did a pretty good job for me when my first FL2 got written-off, albeit it took 6 weeks, but I don't think others would have been much quicker.

Most insurance companies won't cover you off-road, though I understand that NFU does and they seem to be pretty highly rated by 4x4 owners.

Hiya

Direct Line = £194 me and wife. NFU £265 dito. Both cheaper than Sainsbury's Bank who were keenest for the Forester 2.0 XT (£350) the FL2 will replace - on Saturday.

Whoo and indeed, hoo!

Just gone with Landrover at £298 which I didn't think was too bad with free legal cover, off road cover and protected no claims for me and the Girlfriend.

Yep, they wanted £480 with the only benefit over standard that I could see being off road cover. Also available in Clean.

This years quote for me has come out at £439 with Hastings. (FL2 HSE 08 plate) Thats with the Mrs on the policy too.
I didn't think that was too bad for a 30 year old lad living in Tamworth with a Birmingham postcode?

Decided to give LR a try for a quote - came out the same as Hastings, so decided to take out the policy on the basis that they guarantee genuine parts and like-for-like courtesy car.
More than happy. Thumbs Up
