United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Izmir Blue

As Bob said ^^^
D2 TD5 had great character with those beam axles and powerful engine,

you will find IMO the Freelander2 is more refined and manoeuvrable and
generally an all round improvement,,,,providing the cargo space meets your needs.

personally, I would look for a higher spec Freel2 if you intende to keep for
a few years.......that is a nice blue though....so good luck do your research and enjoy

This was my old TD5 GS Auto - finally fitted with an ashcroft gearbox but never got to enjoy much due to the unscrupulous dealer.
Loved that car while it was working Whistle

Well gentlemen, the decision is to keep the Disco2 at present.
The 58 FL2 was really tempting. Big no no was it is manual.
My D2 is auto and chipped and can surprise people when you put the foot down.
Also, SWMBO had a minor stroke last year and we can fit her walker into the Disco without folding it flat.
She hops in and out the Disco very well.
Tried the Walker in the FL but could only fit when folded.
I will eventually have to part with the Disco and it will be for a Freelander auto.
Thank you to all for the chat and advice.
As commented driving the Disco is fab.
All the best to you all

Good luck Jim and I hope your wife recovers from her health issue quickly and fully.

Sensible decision given the practical issues you face. Enjoy your devil you know Smile
