Extra earth strap normally cures problems on earlier FL2s.

A 4 year old starter battery is on borrowed time. What voltage is the battery after it has been sitting quietly for 24 hours? Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Try these TAYNA BATTERIES. ( I have no connection with this company ) If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny. 🐑 Freelander 2 HSE auto 2014 ( Florrie ) ..... Try again. Freelander 2 GS 2012...... Gone. |

My 2013 FL2 automatic diesel has developed an intermittent starting problem. Sometimes when you push the button to start up, all the lights and dials power up and you just get a click but no start. The low battery warning comes up but its done that since it was new. Thing is if you keep your foot on the brake and move the auto selector from park to drive then back to park it starts up without having to press the start button again. Sometimes you have to move the selector two or three times but eventually it fires up. This kind of suggests it's not the battery or it wouldn't fire up at all plus I've checked the charge on the battery and all seems okay. Anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas would be welcome. |
