Hi there. Not used my spare fob for a while, so thought I'd charge it up. Opened car with usual fob then inserted spare into ignition and started car..Fine.. Locked up and had to press it a couple of times but worked eventually. Used it for a few days but repeatedly had to press a couple of times to lock...To unlock press to open door, then press again to open all doors, it opens the windows. sometimes it will open the doors but mostly opens the windows without holding it down.....any suggestions please? Thanx. Freelander 2 2019 2.2 diesel.

could well be the battery is on its last legs and sadly is not just a case of open the fob and switch the battery like in the post 2013 models.

user RRUK on here refurbs them for a very reasonable price, search in the for sale/wanted section as he has a thread in there.

Ho Rog..just had a look on Ebay & you can buy the kit inc battery & fob & diy for £9.95. Video on youtube. I'm quite handy so I'll have a go, thanx for your help tho.
