Crunch/grinding noise when pulling away

Hi All,

Only my second post so be kind...

I have recently had to have my turbo reconditioned and refitted due to a large oil leak (MY11 Sport LE, 72k miles), MOT and full service. After 2 weeks in the garage, I finally have my car back. HOWEVER, I have noticed that since this work, there is a crunch/grind coming from the front of the car when setting off from stationary. There is no noise during driving or under acceleration, only when initially pulling away from a stop.

My initial thoughts were that it might be transmission related? Having read a few things on Google, it's been suggested that it may be an engine mount? I'm a complete novice really! I know the garage have had to drop the front subframe to get to the turbo so this seems plausible...

I've spent a fortune on this car over the last 12 months, with problem after problem so dont really want to have to spend any more on it to get it running as it should!

Cheers

Taking it back to the garage on wednesday and showing the garage owner the fault, so will keep you posted.

It was much worse this morning too - severe jolt when auto box changed down a gear from 4th to 3rd. Since then, it jolts/judders when putting the power down fairly sharply from a standstill. Very odd. Hoping it isnt transmission related but not too confident...
