Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor replacement?

When replacing the throttle body, is there any merit in fitting a new IAT sensor even if it’s not generating any fault codes? For a cost of fifteen pounds, or thereabouts, it seems like it might be worth it as it’s one of the sensors that helps to regulate fuel flow.
