The photo choice, having been in photo journalism in my early years this kind of thing irritates me, simple as that. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

I agree with you, David. Poor choice of pictures that take up too much space.
Back in the 60's, Autocar were at the top of their game and were the go to magazine.

That vehicle has no current MOT or VED (VED renewal was due 1st Jan 2012) so definitely an archive pic - sloppy indeed. Jules

They ran a similar article some years ago on the Forester and used ours for their photographs. Sadly got nothing out of it, apart from a set of the photos and a copy of the magazine Very Happy

Most articles seem to be cut & paste these days & they wonder why people don't take them seriously.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

Nice to read a positive review - even if the author may be in a muddle over the engines. The launch engine was definitely not 2.0 litre - it was, as most Freely people know the 2179cc TD4...…….
The torque figures for the original engines incidentally were 400Nm/2000 rpm for the diesel (man or auto) whereas the I6 (auto) petrol was rated as 317Nm/3200 rpm.

I think the same article is now online at autocar.co.uk for anyone who fancies a quick read:
