Harsh gear engagement

Hi, I have aquired an issue with my 2007 td4. When selecting reverse after stopping, the gear seems to engage smoothly, but a second later it feels like it is engaging again only very harshly. This has just started after towng my camper trailer for the fourth time, no issues towing before that, and the trailer weight has not changed. Gearbox was serviced about 3000lms ago. Any insight appreciated.

I had exactly the same symptom after towing off-road caravan. Happened about four times over a short time span (30 minutes). It has completely disappeared after that. Also interested if someone can shed light on this. 2013 SD4 SE (hers)
