Yes, with the box not bad but worse with just the bars, I taped up all the holes in the bars which helped but not cured.

Is it still attached to your car though? I saw half a roofbox and loads of what looked like dirty washing on the road the other day. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

There are roof boxes and roof boxes. I ran a Thule Atlantis 200 on the roofs of several cars and while it wasn’t cheap, it was completely silent, right up to ***mph |

I have the LR rails & cross bars & they have never made any noise. I don't have a roof box, but have a wheel, solar panels, fuel tanks & sand tracks on the roof & they don't make any noises. I was careful to design them without edges that generate whistles. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I don't know which is louder... the hum from those crazy all-terrain tires I have or the roof box and kayak...

Just the right car to take the mother in law out shopping especially with those noisy all terrain tyres.

Mine is v quiet - cheap aftermarket rails fitted, but genuine LR crossbars and a 320 litre Thule roof box.
