What year is my door mirror?

I know that sounds like a daft question......but......

WVM smashed outer edge cover of drivers door mirror the other day so trying to find a replacement.

The mirror covers on my 2012 FL2 are one piece but have the banana curved top profile rather than flat.

From what I can determine so far these are pre 2010 mirrors - same on both sides.

Can anyone please confirm or otherwise?

Also so far it seems that the outer cover is non replaceable - new mirror required, surely that's just bonkers!

Sadly covers/caps interfere with fittings for towing mirrors as they create a step down to the front rim of the mirror
