Preferred wheel size for comfort

Which wheel size do you recommend for all round comfort, taking into account motorway, potholes, speed bumps, occaisional off-road?
Perhaps what you have is 'perfect'; or you find what you have a little too firm; or too soft, or compromise driving stability...

I am happy with my 18 inch wheel size in summer and 17 inches for the winter.
Impossible to compare the comfort, it is the Seasonal.

only had 17" on my car

Haven't noticed any difference on the 18" i have had on a loan car

So 17 & 18 for me (only can vote once so 17" got it) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

17's are a good all rounder, but I wish the tyres were cheaper!! Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

I had 17" wheels, but recently bought a set of 19" alloys. I didn't notice any difference in the ride at all. The new ones look better thought...

I had 17" alloys and changed them for 18" I think the ride is slightly harder but barely perceptible and definitely worth it for the improvement to the looks!
