My recently acquired 2012 FL2 was showing hesitation and slight 'misfire' etc when hot at low speed, after waiting at junction etc.

I've got that squawky noise but it's only appeared since Haldex replacement???? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Mea Culpa - that video is not my car - it was a link in one of the 'hesitation' threads on the forum. I played the sound to the dealer who had no idea what it was - said it sounded like solenoid..... Interesting re firmware - please forgive my ignorance, LR virgin, whar's the IPC? |

Hmmm - there was a receipt for haldex work about a year ago as I recall - around £395 - I guess that would have been a service??? I'll follow that up with the dealer. Mine only does it on light throttle at low speed - I think 1st, 2nd, 3rd or could be 2nd 3rd 4th. and when it's warm. |

Car spent a couple of hours at our local LR Indie with all the diagnostic tools yesterday. Having listened to video noise, and also reproduced on test, the initial reaction is turbo related. Definitely puzzled as they hadn't come across this before but willing to find out - which is great. They're having it back next week to spend a day with data recorder which was in use on my quick visit yesterday - only thing that marred the day was white van man clipping and breaking my door mirror shell! still at least it didn't break the glass or motor......... |

Just had the noise fixed - long story short - throttle body problem. The butterfly valve caused back pressure from turbo that then blows back through the air intake. They did a quick test before replacing the throttle body by just disconnecting the butterfly and noise went away..... I wish the credit card bill would do the same |

Thanks for the update bin. I think this may well be the source of my turbo flutter issue too as there has been some intermittent noise on shutdown from the throttle body. |
