Restricted performance

Hi all
Yesterday while driving along I noticed a noise that I can only describe as a whoosh of air from the engine when I accelerated. This seem to happen in all gears bar 4th, 5th and 6th. Now today I have the restricted performance error message and seem to have no power at all. Driving back from London, I could manage 65-70 max
I have a 62 plate facelift model that had an egr valve change last year. Could the valve be gone again? Or maybe a blown hose? My brother thinks it could be turbo related? I hope not
Anyone hand this noise of air when accelerating?
Phone my dealer and they said don't drive if it's a red warning triangle and get it recovered
Any help/info greatly appreciated

Sounds like an intercooler hose has split they can be sods to find as the split closes when not under pressure making them hard to see - if it roars and whooshes under load that is a classic sign.
Plenty of posts on here about it - here is a schematic of the system you need to look at

Just about guaranteed to be a split intercooler hose. Usually the first to go is the short one attached to the throttle valve at the front of the engine. Not always easy to spot until it is removed. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

I had this problem shortly after having the car MOT’d. Whoosh noise then limp mode. When I looked under the bonnet the hose on the right hand side of the car at the bottom of the engine had come off. The hose clip was still there. I checked the hose, no split so reassembled the hose and the car was fine after that. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
