Most people probably don't have "lost credit card" insurance any more after they were accused of mis-selling, but if you do it probably covers keys as well. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

i have had it once on my car insurance, cost something like £20 extra, which was luckly as i 'lost' a key that year, and another stroke of luck it was a dodgy key that didn't work all the time due to the buttons been duff

My motor policy's with Admiral and includes as standard lost keys and lock cover up to £300 |
