Nice surprise this morning when my HEKO wind deflectors arrived, nasty surprise when fitting the first one F/N/S it snapped in two places!! I have fitted these before to my old Antara so I expected them to flex as you pop them in, but the amount of flex this needed I was concerned as I tried to fit it. I then heard crack, crack and my one piece deflector became a three piece one. I had read the instructions and followed them the packaging say Freelander 2

Well photos taken and complaint sent off to them, very disappointed as I did not want the stick on ones, these are more discreet. Don't think I will bother now.

Just removed mine (as per earlier thread). They let in road noise , especially the drivers window. They were fitted to combat the drumming/droning when the rear windows were open, but made little to no difference. They were great at deflecting rain when you had the window open an inch or so, but since removing I have found they restricted so much light. Looked great though.

I am thinking that they are more trouble than they are worth, surprised about the seals though, hope they are not damaged, if its just the rubber try treating it and see if it seals better? 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

Yes I loved them on the Antara hence fitting them to the FL2 however the flex needed to pop the top in was huge compared to the Antara, did you find the same? 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

I had the in channel wind deflectors on a previous car and found them a nightmare to fit, first one took about 40 mins the second about 3. I was never happy with them as the window motor always seemed to struggle a little. So this time I went for the self adhesive ones.
