Haha! No - I just accepted the vibration. Strangely it seemed to come and go. Im sure it was road surface dependent but couldnt spot why. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Thought I'd update this. Car is in for a big service and they found a leaking leaking CV joint boot. Didn't think it would be the cause of the vibration though. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Thought I'd update this again. Car was MOTd and the tyre on the front passenger side was worn around the edges to the legal limit. Arranged for my local garage to put 2 new Wranglers on and I asked if they could look at the pulling at the same time.

Hmmm. Chucky. There is no legal limit on the edges of tyres - they can be completely bald yet still legal. Exactly what bolt was siezed RRP that stopped the wheels from aligning properly? Front passenger can easily be more worn than the others, especially if you go round loads of roundabouts. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

How odd. Said it on the MOT advisory so assumed it was legit. Don't know what bolt/but it was, I was in a rush, but whatever they did it runs spot on. To be fair, Mikey from this forum (and owner of MMP Landover) did the big service a couple of months back and also noted worn outer edge of said tyre and agreed it was likely related to the pulling. Ah, an advisory can just be something in the opinion of the tester. Just a couple of tyres here with worn edges. Not nice looking and I wouldn’t have them on my cars but perfectly legal! If I failed a car on its MOT on those tyres and the owner appealed, I’d get points on my testers licence.

In this thread the alignment "specialists" mentioned are ATS and Kwikfit. In my experience, these are the last places I would take my car. Such large chains are a lottery, you are very lucky if you find a good one. Find yourself a good independent or small chain (I use Eden Tyre) to get a more reliable result. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Totally agree - I wouldn't use ATS again and lost faith in my local KwikFit a long time ago. I used ATS as it fitted a time constraint I had. Waste of money in hindsight.

Had mine done last week at Kwik-Fit, £50. Wouldn't normally use them but car was in to have new tyres all-round (they had a good Black Friday deal on Michelin Crossclimates, £495 fully fitted for 4 x 235/55 R19s).

Those tyres look to be good value for 19's. The alignment looks to have been good too. There can be exceptions! For the benefit of others, which Southampton KwikFit was that?

Well, they still charged me £50 even though they didn't touch the rear wheels! Just the front toes that needed doing. Think they normally charge £62 for alignment though, so I did argue myself £12 off the normal price. Probably helped that I'd spent £500 on four new tyres...
