I set alarm sometime later. The alarm goes of , go out and unlock the car but then won’t relock when I try the horn sounds ,so open each door boot and bonnet and close in turn and still horn beeps so get in start car move 6 inches and will then relock any help appreciated happened twice now

Does it ever say ‘bonnet open’ in the dash?

Not that I noticed will check next time but it didn’t say it when I started it and moved and then relocked straight away

Finally came up to day bonnet open now won’t lock back to dealers Monday

Fitted bonnet alarm switch a while ago all good now dealer cleaned the original switch 3months

I think my 2007 is starting to suffer this problem.
Random alarm activation and 'open bonnet' message on dash.

I messed about with this problem for ages. Cleaning the bonnet catch switch cured it for while but not really worth the effort.
Finally I bought a new style, much improved design, lock off ebay. Easy to fit and has cured the alarm problem completely. ,
